Bursaspor rewrite history in Turkey

Bursaspor have been crowned taçlandırmak, zirveye taşımak Turkish Super League champions by beating yenmek Beşiktaş AŞ 2-1 ,overthrowing devirmek leader Fenerbahçe SK who drew 1-1 against Trabzonspor AŞ. Established in 1963, Bursaspor not only reached this triumph zafer for the first time in their history, but became the first club ever to win that trophy kupa since 1983/84 season when Trabzonspor lifted it.

Bursaspor took the lead after 32 minutes through Pablo Batalla, then Beşiktaş's İbrahim Toraman's own goal doubled the score for the champions. Uğur İnceman pulled one back for the Black Eagles three minutes from time but that was nothing more than a consolation teselli.

Bursaspor coach Ertuğrul Sağlam was very proud of his side. "After claiming the first rank in the league during the course of the season, we believed we can win the title from the heart.

Despite losing the first rank to Fenerbahçe we did not lose our hope. We always waited for Fenerbahçe to stumble hata yapmak. After Trabzonspor, we helped Anatolian lands to enjoy this success. It's an honour. Now we have even a bigger responsibility on our shoulders. Representing our country in UEFA Champions League in the best way. We'll try not to let people who supported us down. The whole Bursa city wrote this history. We created a good team and that was the key of our title success."

Players and supporters of the soccer club burst into joyful neşeli tears after a 2-1 triumph against Beşiktaş. Fenerbahçe who had entered the final day with a one point lead over Bursaspor, failed to secure the title following a 1-1 draw with Trabzonspor.Frustrated sinirli supporters set tribunes on fire at Fenerbahçe's Şükrü Saraçoğlu stadium.
