-de, -da - Too, So, Also, Either, Neither

TOO - EITHER - SO - NEITHER -ALSO

Birisi/birşey için söylediğimiz cümlenin bir başkası içinde geçerli olduğunu belirtmek için Türkçe' de "-de" veya "-da" eklerini İngilizce' de ise "too" veya "either" kelimelerini kullanırız.

Olumlu cümlelerdeki "-de, -da" eki için "too, also, so" kullanılır.

1.  "too" ikinci cümlemizin sonunda yer alır.
   They need some food. They need some money, too. (Onların yiyeceğe ihtiyacı var. Paraya da ihtiyaçları var.)
   I'm happy. (Mutluyum.)
   I'm happy too. (Ben de mutluyum)
   Me too. (Ben de)
2.  "also" öznemizden sonra veya yardımcı fiilimizden sonra gelir.
   I am also coming with you. (Ben de seninle geliyorum.)
   She also helped us. (O da bize yardım etti.)
3.  "so" birinci cümlenin yardımcı fiili ile birlikte soru şeklinde olduğu gibi kullanılır.
   She generally decides in a short time. So do I. (O genellikle kısa zamanda karar verir. Ben de.)
   The students are waiting in the garden. So are the teachers. (Öğrenciler bahçede bekliyor. Öğretmenler de.)

Olumsuz cümlelerdeki "-de, -da" eki için "either" ve "neither" kullanılır.

1.  "either" ikinci cümlemizin sonunda yer alır.
   He can't speak Spanish. I can't speak, either. (O İspanyolca konuşamıyor. Ben de.)

   A: She is not inexperienced.

   B: You are not inexperienced, either. / You either.

   Alison: I don't believe a word he says.

   Kate: I don't, either. / Neither do I. /Me neither.

2.  "Neither" birinci cümlenin yardımcı fiili ile birlikte soru şeklinde olduğu gibi kullanılır.
   The new student could not understand the topic. Neither could the other students. (Yeni öğrenci konuyu anlayamadı, diğer öğrenciler de.)

   A: I don't know the answer.

   B: Neither, do I. / Me neither (informal)

   A: She's not going Erciyes to ski next month.

   B: Me neither.
