Sıfat cümleciklerinde indirgeme 1 - Reduction in Relative Clauses 1

Edatları (at, in, on...) kullanarak birinin ya da bir şeyin yerini ya da olayın zamanını söylüyorsak "which, who, that" kelimeleri ve "am-is-are-was-were-has been- have been- had been" yardımcıları atılabilir. Bu cümleleri Türkçe’de şöyle duyuyoruz:

• You should go to our headquarter which is in Ankara. (Ankara’da bulunan merkezimize gitmeniz gerekiyor.)
• You should go to our headquarter in Ankara. - Ankara'daki merkezimize gitmeniz gerekiyor.

• The man who is on the phone wants to talk to you. (Telefondaki bey seninle konuşmak istiyor.)
• The man on the phone wants to talk to you.

• We had to cancel the meeting which is at 6. (6’daki toplantıyı iptal etmek zorunda kaldık.)
• We had to cancel the meeting at 6.

• The customers who were in the entrance were so angry. (Girişteki müşteriler çok kızgındı.)
• The customers in the entrance were so angry.

• The news which is about our company is archived. (Şirketimizle ilgili haberler arşivlenir.)
• The news about our company is archived.

• Can you please bring me the paper which is on the table? (Lütfen masadaki kağıdı getirir misin?)
• Can you bring me the paper on the table?

• Bring only the clothes which are clean. (Sadece temiz olan kıyafetleri getirin.)
