With a newexhibitionat the Borusan Music Centerlightwill becomematterand matter will become light. The exhibition offers a mixture of light and matter at the samevenue.
The Matiere-Lumier (Matter-Light) exhibitiongatherexciting works ofprominentartists. The exhibition will run until October 12.
A total of nine artistscollaboratedto put the Matiere-Lumiere exhibition together. The worksfocuson technological lightinstallationand arepresenta new direction within the media and electronic arts, where light and matter arereflectedin a moreintuitive,physicalandsensorialapproach.
The works at the exhibitionreturnthesensationsto their rightful place at the centre of thecreativeact and the experience of art with some artworksrevealingthemselves in theintersectionof matter and light and othersarisingfrom theirconflict.
The exhibitionsupportsthe idea of "Matter becoming Light, and in others, Light becoming Matter.'
The works of artists also gather light,noiseandmovement, while they try todefinedifferent ofperceptionsstyle to exhibition-goers.
Matiere -Lumiere alsoredefinesmediaart. Media art has a new meaningin terms oftechnology and intuition now as a consequence of the opening of this new exhibition.
The artists and groups showing in the exhibition include: Granular-Synthesis, Sarah Kenderdine and Jeffrey Shaw, Ulf Langheinrich, Thomas McIntosh and Emmanuel Madan and Mikko Hynninen, Christian Partos, Erwin Redl.
The Borusan Music center is open everyday between 12 a.m. and 7 p.m.
