İhtimal anlatan yardımcı fiiller "can, could, may, might, must"tır.
"can" ve "may" daha yüksek, "could" ve "might" daha düşük ihtimali anlatır. "must" ise "Bizi bekliyor olmalı, evde olmalı." şeklinde ihtimal anlatır.
